You will often hear breeders talk about puppies and them going through the "Uglies" This is my example of what this is. This is Gracie in the middle of her "ugly" period at about 6 months and how she is now that she has come out of it at just under a year.

You will often hear breeders talk about puppies and them going through the "Uglies" or sometimes refer to as "Monkey" stageThis is my example of what this is. Don't let this stage scare you too much. Also notice you will often see color changes. Darks seem to lighten and lights seem to darken. The pom is just full of surprises!

Gracie at about 9 weeks

JrDoggies Got Attitude at 7 weeks. Notice how dark her orange is. She actually looks like an orange sable here. But wait...They do change.

Yes this is still Attitude. She is 5 months here. If I had not know better I would have thought a Chihuahua snuck into my house and got Nikki, but I have seen even worse. Just wait...They do Change.

Here she is at 8 months and starting to come back into her coat.

I will put up another picture when she is in complete coat so you can see how they continue to change the first year or better.

Finally here she is at a year and in full coat. Notice how the coat is all orange. She shows none of the Sable markings. This often will happen on the lighter sables. She is all grown up into a beautiful young lady
